HOW TO rePRO

FAQs

rePRO is an online reproductive justice film festival (August 12-16, 2020), presented by the Wichita & Cleveland-based organization, mama.film. mama.film is a film series to unite nurturers of all kinds, to ignite conversation and to reflect upon our shared human experience. Initial support for rePRO by mama.film was generously provided by a grant from the George R. Tiller, M.D., Memorial Fund for the Advancement of Women’s Health at the Wichita Community Foundation.

Through various lenses – and by harnessing the power of cinema as a catalyst for connection and conversation – rePRO presented by mama.film will explore the past, present, and future of women*’s and AFAB people’s reproductive healthcare, awareness, advocacy and bodily integrity in America.

* Our definition of “women” includes transgender, genderqueer and non-binary people who are woman-identified.

With the rising threat to American women’s autonomy over their own bodies, we call on our audience to lift up the voices of those who are advocating for women’s reproductive justice during this vital election year, to vote accordingly, and to establish a more equitable future for generations to come.

rePRO is a five day virtual film festival beginning at 12 Midnight EDT on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 (11 PM CDT on Tuesday, August 11, 2020), through 11:59 PM EDT (10:59 PM CDT) on Sunday, August 16, 2020.

You can find the full rePRO program, along with suggested view times of films and shorts programs, on our rePRO Films page.

While films can be viewed at any time of your choosing within the five days of the festival (August 12-16, 2020), there are suggested viewing times for all films and shorts programs that coincide with the release of our Call-to-Action Conversations. Happening multiple times a day during the rePRO film festival, Call-to-Action Conversations are scheduled, moderated conversations hosted on Zoom (and released HERE on the rePRO website) about rePRO films, the topics they cover, and the issues they raise. See more about our Call-to-Action Conversations FAQs below.

The rePRO program includes 5 feature films and 20 short films. Most short films are presented as part of a shorts program. However, 62 Days is presented as a pre-feature short to PERSONHOOD, and Stand Still is presented as a stand-alone short with its own Call-to-Action Conversation

rePRO films can be viewed online from anywhere within the United States (including Puerto Rico). See our How to Watch FAQs below for more information,
